Gas Safe Register
The Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body of gas businesses and engineers in the UK. By law all gas businesses and its engineers must be registered on the Gas Safe Register.
Gas engineers must be licensed by the gas business and provide evidence of competence in gas safety by holding a valid and current qualification through a recognised route of training and assessment.

Which? Trusted Trader Assessment Process
All Which? Trusted Trader’s must pass a thorough assessment process which includes:
- A Credit Report Check – to validate the traders’ financial health
- Customer Satisfaction Assessment -assessors get feedback from a random selection of customers
- An examination of the traders’ business and admin procedures – to ensure the trader is acting in best interest of its customers
- A face to face interview – to understand how the trader conducts their business
Only traders who pass these vigorous assessments can join.
All members must also agree to abide by Which’s terms and conditions and code of conduct.

About TrustaTrader?
TrustaTrader help consumers find high quality, reputable and trustworthy traders.
Only a limited number of traders are accepted by TrustaTrader. To retain their membership, traders must deliver a quality service based on customer review scores.

TrustaTrader Assessment Process
All TrustaTrader members are assessed by speaking with the trader. They ask the questions that a consumer would ask and get the trader to provide appropriate proof before approval:
- Identification – proof of business registration. Verify trading location and contact details.
- Qualifications – traders must hold and provide proof of all qualifications required by law to carry out the type of service which they are offering
- Trade Association Memberships (eg Gas Safe registration) – validated accreditations
- Customer References – the team check a minimum of 5 customer references
- Insurance – must show proof of Public Liability Insurance
In addition, all members must have a minimum of 2 years experience agree to TrustaTrader’s quality and trading standards.
