Peculiar smell when the boiler runs.
A noisy boiler (and/or radiators).
Boiler flame which used to be blue is now yellow.
Leaks on the boiler.

Many of the new boilers look nicer than their counterparts. Homeowners are therefore happy to install them in more open locations like a kitchen.

They are also smaller in many cases so can be hidden in a cupboard.

The newer, higher capacity boilers can provide full mains pressure showers to multiple bathrooms instantly.

In most cases you can even remove tanks in the loft and the hot water cylinder to provide additional space.

An extension to an existing building often means that the existing boiler no longer has the capacity to cope.

A boiler capacity increase to satisfy the added heating needs and/or relocation will almost certainly require a replacement boiler.
